GT 2009

Last week a few of my girlfriends and I flew out to Florida for a friends reunion.
We stayed at this lovely house right on the ocean. It was beautiful!

My flight came in earlier on Wednesday, so Katie and I just hung out until the rest of the girls arrived.
We picked up the girls in this blue beauty, and that's what we drove around the majority of the trip!

It was actually quite fun!
Six girls in a six seater with no AC, windows rolled down, hair blowing in the wind...
It felt quite nice.

On Thursday, we jet skied, laid by the pool and chatted.

From L to R: Rebbie, Annie, Katie, Heather, Me (missing Jess)

Hanging out on the beach waiting for our names to be called for dinner.

the rest of the week we stayed at a beach house a few hours away...the weather was great!
A little breezy, hot and sunny!
And the sand was like powdered sugar.

We ate cinnamon french toast and omelets on the pier...

made and devoured pizookies...
played Flying Snoopy Ace of Spades and laughed our heads off...

and pretty much relaxed on the beach the whole time...

except for the last day!
Heather accidently scheduled her flight on the wrong day, so we were on our way to the airport so she could catch her flight
and on our way there the truck starting making weird noises and smelling a little weird.
Right when we got there the truck stopped working and we coasted in to drop Heather off.
The truck had a broken radiator, no coolant, and was a little rusty.
With a little help from my Dad and few guys that worked there, we were able to start it up again.

We made it on the freeway going 45 mph, then the truck slowly died on us again.
Immediately two tow trucks and a taxi stopped and asked if we needed help.

We were waiting on AAA, so the taxi driver told us he would wait until they came.
It was a little weird,
but after a few hours AAA finally came, and the taxi man took us home.

All in all we had a blast!! Thanks girls for such a fun week!
You're great!

What's Halloween??

Last night I decided I was going to be a little festive for Halloween.

In years past before Halloween day, pumpkins have been carved, multiple Halloween parties have been attended and tons of candy has been eaten...

but this year is a little different.

We just aren’t that into it like we used to be.

No Halloween decorations, (this is partly my fault) no pumpkin carving (although it’s not too late!) and no Halloween parties attended...yet!

But one thing I decided to make tonight was caramel apples.

They’re festive right??

You can never pass up the beloved caramel apples.

I always forget how hard they actually are to make...

but boy are they scrumptious!

And that’s all that matters!

What are you being for halloween?

What are your kiddos being?

What are your plans for Halloween night?

We’ll probably hit up the ward trunk-or-treat, eat some chili and of course a little candy.

Have a Happy Halloween!!!

San Diegoin with the Fam

Part of the family came down this weekend for the BYU game.

We spent the majority of our time in San Diego.

The boys did a little race track driving, while the girls watched and took pictures.

getting all geared up and ready to go!!

Cason Jeremiah
Dad Josh

Then we headed down to where the USS Midway ship was and walked around.

Walked/Shopped around The Gas Lamp District and ate some yummy dinner

the next day was the BYU game.
We were in the same hotel as the players,
so we chatted with Harvey Unga the night before the big game.
My brothers were loving it!

Dressed in cougar gear...ready for the game!

It was so hot!!!
We were in direct sunlight for a few hours, sweating from head to toe!

Cheerin on them Cougars!

It finally cooled down and we were able to enjoy the game without the sun.
We had such a fun weekend!
We love when family comes in town, and can't wait till Thanksgiving!
Thanks for another great weekend!
