Lover's Day

Valentine's Day this year was a pretty crazy day.
I took on the challenge to make sugar cookies.  Talk about not relaxing.  I always forget how long they take to make, and what a big mess they make.  But it was fun nonetheless.  We have decided to switch off years, so this year was my year.

Woke up...made Cason, Millie and myself breakfast.

Menu:
Orange Julius (my mama used to work there growing up, so she makes them so good!)
sausage, egg and cheese on a english muffin
fruit

Made sugar cookies with Millie and then took them to Cason at work.

Cason came home early from work, we went out to dinner and then went to see "The Vow."
(which I loved by the way. Sobbed through the whole thing.)
It was a great Valentine's Day with my two lovers.
(Millie can still be considered my lover even if she's a girl right?!)

Hope you had a great day of Love!

Date Night: Just Him and Me!

Saturday night, Cason and I went on a hot date.
It's been a LONG time since it was just the two of us...

We got a babysitter, and went to a White Caps baseball game (the local team here).

It was Japanese night, so during the 7th inning stretch they passed out balloons.
Everyone blew them up and let them go at the same time.
Quite an event. :)

We had so much fun!  Felt like we were dating again.
I really recommend going out with just your honey one night.  sans kids.  It felt good!
(Even though we do love to have our Millie bug tag along!)

Looking forward to date night again in the near future...

Christmas Party

It doesn't feel too much like Christmas around here...which I am sad about, but what do you do?

We aren't setting our tree up this year, there's no snow, and today it was 65 degrees.

Although I do keep drinking my yummy Stephen's Chocolate Mint Truffle hot chocolate,
and I go to Starbucks at least once a week for their Caramel Apple Spiced cider that is to die for.

Even in this not so chilly weather.

I don't mind it though.
(except the whole Christmas decorations thing)
Because in a few weeks I will be living in Utah for about a month and then off to faarrrreeeezing Michigan.
I looked today.  It's 10 degrees colder than Utah.
It probably feels 20x colder because of the humidity.
Bone chilling.  Sounds appetizing right?!

But one thing that got me into the Christmas spirit was this last weekend.
We attended Cason's work Christmas party at the St. Regis Resort in Dana Point.
It was a night full of friends, fancy food, Shirley Temples, and dancing!

We had a great time!  And we'll miss our dear friends!

A Honeymoon to Maui

First off...We're back from the honeymoon!  We took off after we were married on May 23rd, 2008, to Maui.  We went to the beautiful warm weather and hot sun while it was raining here in Utah.  We has so much fun!!

Second, we survived the "Road to Hana".  For those of you that have been to Maui and have done this, you'll know what I'm talking about.  For those of you that haven't, I'll give you a rough sketch of what it was like...Really, really, really, really, really, windy roads (so windy, you get carsick!)

We hiked, jumped off 26 foot cliffs (well Cason did), saw the beautiful ocean, and ate fresh papaya right off the tree.

We also went on a snorkel trip...saw turtles, fish and beautiful coral.

And also went to a little luau.  Lots of fun drunk people watching!

Ate delicious food and relaxed on the beach and got sunburned.

We are home now and are loving married life!  We highly recommend it to everyone!!
