Weddings and Triathlons

We spent another weekend in Utah...we just couldn't get enough of it so we had to go back!

One of my friends from college got married on Friday, so we went to the wedding.. she looked beautiful and I am so glad Cason and I were able to be there!

(we haven't seen each other for a few years, so I was so glad I was able to go!)

On Friday night Cason and I went and spent the night at a hotel with Tony (brother in law)

in Ogden. We ate dinner at an Italian restaurant to get that last carbo load in.

The boys were ready for their triathlon the next day.

We all woke up bright an early to go set up for the big race.

(excuse the blurriness)

After the setup they prepped their bodies for the swim.

First triathlon for Case

Eighth for Tony

..and they were off! It looked like a bunch of carp at Lake Powell!

After the swim, they set off on their bikes.

Then the run!

A job well done boys!!

Cason finished in just under 3 hours and Tony finished in 2 hours 20 minutes.

Pretty good eh!?

I was/am real proud of them!!

The weather was perfect,

and the trees were so pretty!

I sure do miss that autumn air and those colorful trees.

Again, it was a short but sweet weekend!

This last weekend, Cason was heading to Utah for work...so I decided to tag along.

We had a blast!

I didn't get many pictures of all of our adventures, but here a few.

It was homecoming, so we went to the homecoming assembly.

Jeremiah and a few of his friends/student government dressed up as cheerleaders.

Yes, that is him. haha. The routine they did was so good! and I'm not just saying that because he is my brother.

They were doing stunts, basket tosses, the whole thing!

It was hilarious!

Later that night we picked up some Cafe Rio (how could we not) and headed to the big football game.

It was so fun to watch them play!

I am so sad I am missing the season.

The sunset was beautiful!

Then on Saturday it was homecoming.

Here is Jeremiah and his hot date.

All the couples came over to my mom's house and so we served them dinner.

While the boys were at the BYU game (lets not talk about that) my sisters and I went to dinner.

Of course I didn't get pictures, but we had fun!

Case and I also went on a bike ride up the canyon.

It was so pretty!!.

We sure miss the pretty autumn leaves and the crisp cool air.

The trip was too short, as they always are!

But we had a blast!

Jack and Kate

This weekend I was in Utah so I snapped a few photos of Jack and Kate.

We went to Vivian Park up the canyon...which was beautiful by the way!

It was a lot of fun! Thanks Lar for letting me take pictures of your kiddos.

Cooper

I am in a beginning digital photography class, and my teacher taught us how to do 

everything in manual focus.

It was a little difficult to get the aperture and shutter speed so they were just right, 

but this is my attempt at doing so.

My sister in law was nice enough to let me test out my skills or lack thereof on 

Cooper.

Keep in mind, this was my first real photo shoot with a newborn,

but how could these not be good with such a cute baby?!

Ps..newborns are hard to shoot!

Please feel free to give me feedback...

actually please do give me tips and ideas of how I can improve!

Although Cooper was a trooper (hehe) and didn't make a peep the majority of this 

shoot.
