A few weekends ago, we decided to go camping with our good friends
Tyler and Alesha and
Pj and Sandra. There were big signs EVERYWHERE that said, "No fires allowed. Violators will be prosecuted." We ignored the signs (whoops) and made a fire anyway.

We only wanted to make tinfoil dinners, and we thought we'd be done before anyone found out. As we were setting up camp,
Pj would go down the trail a little ways to make sure we were safe. We were, but only for a short time. All of a sudden we saw two park rangers walking up the hill towards our camp site. We got in big trouble and they said that they were going to fine us $200 dollars each! After
a lot of talking our way out of the tickets, we quickly put the fire out. We made friends with the rangers, and they didn't end up giving us tickets.
phewf!! They told us to finish cooking our dinners on coals down the trail a ways. We walked down and this is what we saw:

I know you can't see it very good, but there were fire engines, a
sheriff, an ambulance, and firemen all suited up! They were ready to fight the so called "fire". We nonchalantly walked down to the grill to continue cooking our dinner. It was fun to be adventurous and
granolaie for a night, but it felt good to come home and sleep in our own bed! Thanks guys for such an exciting camping trip. We'll have to do it again before we leave!
