San Diego

This last week, Cason had to work in San Diego so I went down a few nights and hung out.  We stayed at the Grand Del Mar, which was beautiful!  (courtesy of Ernst & Young)

We ate dinner at Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and enjoyed some pizza, a salad and a sundae the size of the Eiffel Tower.

We came back to our room and there was a little gift on our bed from the front desk for our baby.  They probably do that for lots of people, but it was still cute and still made me excited!

We went on a walk, enjoyed a warm fire and spied on some coyotes in the distance.

Cason had to be in early on Saturday (yes, he had to work on Saturday. big bummer!) so we woke up early and ate a yummy breakfast, Cason went into work, and I got my nails painted and hung out at the hotel.  Then we ate dinner at this grill close by the hotel.  We ate some delicious food and definitely filled our stomachs full! Too full!

It was a very relaxing weekend besides Cason working.  It was fun for me to get away from the daily grind.

Baby #1: 8 month-a-roos

32 weeks...8 months.

And my feet are starting to disappear

56 days equals
8 weeks which equals
2 months
until baby is here!

Which reminds me that we have
No name yet...
I think about it EVERYday.
We have a list, with about three names not crossed off yet,
but for some reason I am not liking any of them right now.
Looks like it'll have to wait.

Recipe: 7up Chicken

Need a dinner idea for tonight?
This used to be a family favorite, or maybe just a Marie favorite.

7up Chicken
1 can 7up (or sprite) (I usually add more 7up)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil (or canola oil)
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

*marinade chicken in a ziploc bag with ingredients.
Let marinade overnight or for 6 hours. Grill chicken.

We're having this with rice, salad and sauteed zucchini.   Should be pretty tasty!

Post edit: apparently I forgot some ingredients.  I made mine exactly how it says above (and my mom has always made it this way too) and it was yummy!  I think other recipes call for horseradish and garlic or garlic powder.  Try it out.  Let me know how it tastes!

GO!!
There were some people who were dressed up as you can see...
some should've worn more clothes too.

Adrienne and me as the onlookers.

Nice and clean!

The team running in to cross the finish-line.
