Detroit Part I

A few weekends ago, we went on a ward temple trip.  Our temple that we go to is about three hours away, so we thought we'd make a weekend out of it.

Cason requested work off Friday and we spent the night and hung out there on Saturday.

Our first stop was lunch at Zingerman's Deli.
It's a well known deli in Ann Arbor with delicious food!
It's a bit pricey, but you can sample anything in the store...so we probably got our money's worth being that it was our first time there.

We stopped off at the hotel and then headed to the temple.
The Detroit temple is very simple and the grounds around the temple are small.
But it is beautiful nonetheless.

Millie and I waited outside until Cason was done.
I snapped away while she played and threw the car keys around.
These two pictures are my favorite.
Millie, like always, was so excited to see Cason.
(excuse the blurriness)

She didn't notice that he was out yet, and then when she saw him she ran to him.
Sweetest thing!

We finished the night off with custard from a little shop down the road.
It was a beautiful night...not too chilly and just our little family of three.

  3. How fun! I was curious about the temple in Detroit and how often you guys get a chance to go. So did you guys trade off going and the other person just watched Millie?
