4th of July

It's not too late to post about the 4th of July, is it? ha!

This year for the 4th we went to Utah to celebrate with family.
We did our traditional parade, picnic and a few of us ended the night with the Stadium of Fire.

We tried to get a picture with all four of us, but were very unsuccessful.

You probably know by now, but I am obsessed with matching.
Millie, Kate and Ivy all matched.  Obsessed.
And, of course, I didn't get one of all three of them together.

The Stadium of Fire was a lot of fun this year.
We boogied the night away to Beach Boys.

We are so thankful for our country and the freedoms that we enjoy.
And how great is it that we have a full day to celebrate?!
One of my favorite holidays that's for sure!

Millie's Second Birthday

Millie's second birthday was a success.  It was very low key, but still fun for her.
We did all the things she loves to do.

She woke up to balloons, or balls as she called them, on her bedroom floor.
Walked downstairs to a decorated kitchen.
We ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.
Opened a present from Mom and Dad which was a Barbie DVD and some treats.
Ate pizza with Dad for lunch.
Visited Dad's office. (her favorite thing)
took a really short nap
made cupcakes
Had a few outfit changes due to messes.
Her little boy buddies (who she is obsessed with) came over and brought her the cutest little doll.
Sang Happy Birthday with her friends and blew out a candle.
Dad came home, we opened presents.  She could not wait!!
Ate dinner
Sang Happy Birthday a few times again.  (And we still sing it to her today. She loves it!)
Ate more cupcakes.
And played with her toys.

We are planning on giving her a play kitchen for her birthday...if it ever gets done.
yes, we are making it ourselves.  It is taking a LOT longer than we anticipated, but I think she will really like it!

Grandma and Grandpa Green gave her some pretend food for her play kitchen.
Grandpa and Grandma Burr gave her a Tangled Barbie, a Tangled purse and Dora stickers.

I think she was excited and happy with what she got!

It was a great birthday for our little miss!
