...CALIFORNIA...

So we're thrilled to be moving to California, but we're starting to realize that these last few days are winding down for us in the good ol' Provo Utah. I have never moved away from Provo, what I like to call home, ever in my life. I am full of tons of emotions-excitement, nervousness (because of all the freeways), anxiousness (to find a place to call our own) and to be honest I am a little sad to leave home. At first I was saying, "get me outta here!" I wanted something new, but now reality is starting to set in and I am REALLY leaving. But don't get me wrong I am more than excited to live in the Golden State, where I have dreamt of living for awhile now! And hopefully I'll be tan year-round right?!

A few things I/we will miss about Provo:

one:
My family. Although it's not a bad idea to come visit, right family?? California is not a bad vacation!!!

two:

Cason will probably miss this one more than I will. Before we were married, he used to go every week! Sometimes twice a week!! He thinks it's that tasty!

three:
My nephew-Jack. I love him to pieces, and will miss this sweet smile and cute voice saying "ro-ro" and "ball".

four:

These two-Troy and Abby. I watch them a few times a week, and they are my little buddies!

five:

This darling already furnished apartment where we are living. This cute little family was so nice to let us rent from them for the few short months we were here.

six:
Cougar's football games and going to school here in Utah.

seven:

Late night walks, night life and window shopping around the Shops and Riverwoods with Cason.

eight:

Runs along the Provo River trail.

nine:

Getting to see these two lovebirds Sarah and Jeff come home from the honeymoon and open gifts.

ten:The snow. Not so much the coldness of it, but waking up to the first blanket of snow.

AND last but not least...

eleven:
These two lovelies. Date nights with these two is like a trip to Disneyland. How bout you move to California?!

Camping

A few weekends ago, we decided to go camping with our good friends Tyler and Alesha and Pj and Sandra. There were big signs EVERYWHERE that said, "No fires allowed. Violators will be prosecuted." We ignored the signs (whoops) and made a fire anyway.

We only wanted to make tinfoil dinners, and we thought we'd be done before anyone found out. As we were setting up camp,

Pj would go down the trail a little ways to make sure we were safe. We were, but only for a short time. All of a sudden we saw two park rangers walking up the hill towards our camp site. We got in big trouble and they said that they were going to fine us $200 dollars each! After a lot of talking our way out of the tickets, we quickly put the fire out. We made friends with the rangers, and they didn't end up giving us tickets. phewf!! They told us to finish cooking our dinners on coals down the trail a ways. We walked down and this is what we saw:

I know you can't see it very good, but there were fire engines, a sheriff, an ambulance, and firemen all suited up! They were ready to fight the so called "fire". We nonchalantly walked down to the grill to continue cooking our dinner. It was fun to be adventurous and granolaie for a night, but it felt good to come home and sleep in our own bed! Thanks guys for such an exciting camping trip. We'll have to do it again before we leave!

LoVe LoVe LoVe...

This chair...I'm having a really hard time deciding if I want this chair. I really like it, and I think it would add a pop to our family room. My only worry is that it will go out of style in 2 months. What do you think? Should we get it??

Lately...

I have been busy finishing 'Thank you' cards, getting bald tires changed, cleaning, and watching these little ones...
(these are the girls I nanny for a few times a week along with another family)

This is Presley

And this little one is Kerbie

They are such girly girls! They love lipgloss, bracelets, earrings, painted toes and playing with hair. It's so crazy how at such a young age they already know what's "girly" and what's not!

*About 1 more month till we move to California!*
